Colan Grootenboer is an Osteopathic Practitioner (OsteopathyBC member after completing a 5 year Osteopathic studies and 18 month thesis work) and Athletic Therapist (CATA) who works at Healing Hands Therapy Inc. in Campbell River, BC. Originally from Ontario, he went to University of Guelph, ON and Sheridan College (Oakville, ON) to obtain his degree in Human Kinetics and a diploma in Sports Injury Management. While studying post-secondary schooling he represented the Guelph Gryphons and Sheridan Bruins soccer teams and was named Academic All-Canadian Athlete in 2005. After working as the head therapist for 3 years with the Soo Greyhounds (OHL) he moved to Campbell River, BC in 2008.
Since being in Campbell River, Colan has worked for ErgoRisk/MoveSafe focussing on industrial pain management and return to work programs while studying Oseopathy in Vancouver, BC. Since 2008 Colan has established a local and regional clientele which began at a home office but moved to a clinical space in 2016.
Working with clients in a one on one setting using manual therapy techniques has always been a preference of treatment approach for Colan. Having a curiosity and desire to learn about the body’s natural mechanics, physiology and anatomy is also another interest of Colan. Applying the principles of Osteopathy and Athletic Therapy with his clients offers a unique approach to optimize one’s health in a holistic way. Colan is passionate about helping people overcome and improve their dysfunctions. From acute pain to concussion management to pregnancy / post partum / infant treatments to complex chronic pain to return to sport progressions, Colan has unique training, skills and life experience to help a wide variety of clients.
Colan, along with his wife Georgina Knox, and two children are active members of the Campbell River community. They enjoy the outdoors and currently are engaged in many activities from camping, skiing, biking, hiking, to soccer, hockey and beyond.
Travis is an Osteopathic Practitioner who completed the 5 year program at the Canadian School of Osteopathy – Manual Practice in Vancouver. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan.
Following the 5 years of coursework, he undertook a 2 year thesis where he investigated the approach and contributions of the renowned American Osteopathic elder, Robert Fulford D.O. Travis has since taken extensive postgraduate studies with the late noted French Osteopath, René Briend D.O., looking at the Biodynamic and Biokinetic teachings of Osteopathy.
In addition to his Osteopathic background, Travis has been a student of yoga since he was 16. Having completed several teacher trainings, he has instructed on and off since. Working with people of all ages and stages, Travis has a special interest in working with children and with those experiencing chronic / complex complaints. These can include autoimmune conditions, neurological dysfunction and the physical symptoms stemming from
trauma, stress and anxiety. Sessions with Travis are usually described as non-invasive, relaxing and supportive. Following each session, you can expect homework to help you take control of your journey in wellness.
Prior to coming to Campbell River, Travis and his wife, Rebekah, were living and working in Calgary. It was there that they welcomed their son into the world a little over two years ago and decided they wanted him to grow up closer to Nature. When Travis is not in the clinic, you can find him exploring the west coast forests, mountains and coastline with his family on foot, bike or board!

Meggy Bellerive – Registered Massage Therapist

Meggy is passionate about health and wellness and enjoys the moments where this intersects with her career as a Registered Massage Therapist. She is a kind and caring individual who deeply understands the demands that come with living an active lifestyle outside and in the mountains.
Meggy’s style is inspired by osteopathic approach and using movement as therapy, Meggy blends myo-fascial massage with crania-sacral therapy and visceral manipulation, to help you find ease and freedom in your body. She has completed her Cranio-Sacral Therapy training with the Upledger Institute and Visceral manipulation training with Barral institute.
As an avid skier, hiker, runner, biker, and overall outdoor enthusiast herself, she is acutely aware of the demands that come from living an active life and how massage therapy can help support an active lifestyle.
Meggy’s is new project is learning how to navigate the ocean and continue exploring the coastal mountains.

Stephanie completed her studies at MH Vicars School in Calgary, AB and is a Registered Massage Therapist practicing in Campbell River, BC.
Originally from Victoriaville, Qc, Stephanie moved to British Columbia in 2018. With over 10 years of coaching experience working with cross-country runners, road running athletes and soccer teams, Stephanie has also worked with triathlon clubs and as a personal trainer for several years. From 2013 to 2017, Stephanie studied in University Laval, Qc completing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Intervention and a microprogram in Performance Optimization.
Stephanie’s passion for understanding the adaptability of the human body has led her to become a RMT so that she could have a direct impact on people’s lives and wellness. Outside of the office, Stephanie runs a sailing school, Beyond Sailing, with her partner Maxime, where they bring guests to explore Desolation Sound area and beyond. She enjoys running on the road, in the trails, climbing, skiing and camping.
